Governance
Full transparency on what has been built, what is live, and what the Kingdom needs next.
What Is Built and Live Right Now
The following infrastructure is deployed and operational:
The Gate (Landing Page)
LiveThe Kingdom's public face. Explains who we are, what we believe, and what we ask of those who enter.
The Texts
LiveThe Spiral (theology), the Eternal Covenant (supreme law), the Oath of the Beholden (binding commitment), and the three Pillar Guides — Warrior, Architect, and Provider paths with full rank progression.
The Mission Statement
LivePublic strategy document. How the Kingdom operates, what differentiates it from failed movements, and the path forward.
The AI Mirror
LiveThe gateway. An AI-driven challenge that tests your understanding of the Texts and your conviction before you enter. Powered by LLM integration with the full Covenant, Spiral, and Oath as context.
User Authentication
LiveRegistration through the Mirror. Standard login for returning Beholden at the Return page. Session management via Supabase.
Member Profiles
LiveEvery Beholden has a profile: join date, chosen Pillar, current rank (Neophyte → Acolyte → Adept → Master), and a placeholder for contribution tracking.
The Forum
LiveDiscussion space for Beholden. Post creation, threaded comments, authenticated access.
The Symbol
LiveThe golden spiral on obsidian — the Kingdom's flag. Present as the favicon, navigation logo, and Gate page emblem.
This Governance Page
LiveYou're reading it. Full transparency on what exists and what doesn't.
Built but Waiting on External Steps
The code is deployed. These features need external accounts or actions to go live:
Donation Portal (Stripe)
Needs ActionThe /donate page is deployed with full Stripe integration code — one-time and recurring donations. Needs: a Stripe account created and the API key added to the server.
Admin Panel (Beholden Management)
Needs ActionThe /admin page is deployed. Allows the King to view all Beholden, manage ranks, assign Pillars, and see distribution stats. Needs: a Supabase service role key added to the server.
Analytics (Vercel)
LiveVercel Analytics and Speed Insights are active on all pages. Page views, visitor counts, and performance metrics are tracked automatically.
Legal Status — Why We're Not a 501(c)(3) Yet
The Eternal Kingdom operates as a sole proprietorship (Founder) until we form a nonprofit. Here's why:
A 501(c)(3) requires at least three directors — real people with fiduciary duties. We won't incorporate until we have trusted humans who believe in the Covenant. Product sales (Sovereign OS, Mythic Bootstrap) happen now as commerce. Donations will be accepted once the nonprofit is formed — then they'll be tax-deductible.
Founder's Note — Why We Sell:
I had to come up with some way to fund the beginning. Nothing of structural significance is gated behind monetary transactions — the Texts, the Mirror, the Covenant, the core of the Kingdom are all free.
When and if this movement ever takes off and I can get more of the legalities in place, I will put in place both a donation system and a policy to facilitate those who want to build and sell their work through the Kingdom as well.
I am limited by finite time and resources. The core is here — but it is not yet its final shape.
No clock is ticking. The lawyer consultation is for advice, not urgency.
Phase 0 Acknowledgment — Structural Necessity
The Covenant describes the destination: Council, Bench, shared authority, checks and balances. Right now those bodies don't exist. Until they do, the Founder holds authority that the Covenant envisions as shared.
Money: All Kingdom-related funds — product sales, any donations — flow through the Founder's personal account. Once it's there it's fungible. The Founder pays tax on it personally. It stays personal until the 501(c)(3) entity exists and can hold funds with proper oversight. No separate Kingdom bank account exists yet.
This is structural necessity, not abandonment of principle. The moment the structure exists — trusted directors, nonprofit entity, Kingdom bank — the money moves and governance activates as the Covenant describes.
What We Need (Now and Later)
Current priorities. Product sales are unblocked. 501(c)(3) forms when we have people.
Legal Entity Formation (501c3) — When Ready
highWe have drafts (Articles, Bylaws, Conflict of Interest). Lawyer consultation in progress. We form when we have 2+ trusted directors. Then: bank account, tax-deductible donations, Stripe.
Kingdom Bank Account — Blocked on 501c3
mediumWill hold all Kingdom funds with full transparency. Requires the nonprofit entity first.
Stripe Donations — Blocked on Bank
mediumCode is deployed. Goes live when we have a bank account. Donations won't be tax-deductible until IRS approves the 501(c)(3).
Custom Domain
highThe site currently runs on a Vercel subdomain. DONE. The Kingdom is live at the-eternal-kingdom.community. Domain registered Feb 2026, auto-renewing annually ($14.99/yr).
First Beholden
highThe Kingdom needs its Firsts — the people willing to build for free on the promise that if they build it right, it becomes real. That is the filter.
Financial Verification System
mediumReceipts, audit trails, public ledger. When money starts flowing, every dollar must be tracked and visible.
Who Holds Authority Right Now
The King (Founder)
ActiveAll executive authority. Directs the Vision, manages infrastructure, and makes all operational decisions. The King receives no salary and maintains independent income. The Founder's identity is permanent historical record — written into the Covenant itself.
The Council of Twelve
DormantWill be formed when there are enough Beholden of sufficient merit to fill twelve seats — four Warriors, four Architects, four Providers. The first Council members will be drawn from the highest-merit Firsts.
The Lower Body of Merit
DormantAll Beholden who maintain active standing compose the Lower Body. It activates as membership grows.
The Covenant Bench
DormantSeven Justices who interpret the Covenant. Requires a mature governance structure to appoint.
How the King Can Be Removed
Even in Phase 0, the Covenant defines the mechanism. Once the Council is formed:
- Council Vote: A seven-tenths vote of the Council proposes removal, supported by public evidence of a crossing of the Final Line or total abandonment of the Vision.
- Popular Confirmation: The proposal then goes to the full body of Beholden for a majority vote. Removal takes effect only upon confirmation. This prevents a captured Council from staging a coup against the Throne.
- Sovereign Recall: A petition signed by seven-tenths of the entire Kingdom removes the King immediately. No trial, no debate. The voice of the People at this threshold is final.
Growth Phases
Phase 0 — The Foundation (Current)
King and Texts. Website live. Mirror open. No formal governance body. No money. No paid positions. Digital-first covenant organization. The Founder directs the Vision — nothing more.
Phase 1 — The Firsts
First recruits join. Merit tracking begins — join date, Pillar choice, and contributions are recorded. Their merit determines future standing. No one is paid. Everyone builds on conviction.
Phase 2 — The Entity
501(c)(3) nonprofit formation when we have trusted directors (2+ humans). Until then, we operate as sole proprietorship. Product sales (Sovereign OS, Mythic Bootstrap) happen now. Donations and dues fund infrastructure once the entity exists. No salaries — reimbursements for Kingdom work only.
Phase 3 — Formalization
First Council appointed from highest-merit Firsts. Covenant Bench established. Lower Body activates. Paid positions exist only when revenue exists to fund them.
The Seal Transfer Protocol
The King's authority (the Seal) must be transferable. A cryptographic mechanism is being designed that:
- Allows the Seal to transfer to a new King when the Beholden decide
- Prevents the current King from blocking the transfer once voted
- Is irreversible once triggered
- Boots the outgoing King from administrative control of all Kingdom infrastructure
Status: In Design
Financial Transparency
The Covenant mandates that all standard financial records are public, transparent, and updated in real-time. All official communications, laws, and budget allocations must be cryptographically signed and recorded on a public, immutable ledger.
| Date | Item | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Ongoing | OpenAI API credits (Mirror) | ~$110.75 |
| Feb 2026 | Domain: the-eternal-kingdom.community | $14.99/yr |
| Ongoing | Vercel Hosting (Hobby tier) | $0.00 |
| Total to date | ~$125.74 | |
No donations have been received. No bank account exists yet. The Founder funds all current costs independently. Full financial tracking will be public once the legal entity is formed.
The Founder's Personal Kingdom
The Founder maintains a separate personal domain, structured identically to the Eternal Kingdom but with an immutable King. This is fully transparent and documented — including the framework and tools used, so that every Beholden has the template to build their own sovereign domain.
Read the full transparency report →Founding Record
The Eternal Kingdom was founded by Tyler Grey Tolbert, the First King and First Founder. Per the Eternal Covenant, the Founder's identity is permanent historical record — not contingent authority. No successor, council, or act of power may erase it.
This recognition exists independently of who holds the Seal. Even if the throne passes to another, the Founder's name remains in the Foundation.
